Parents,
God is doing some exciting things in our middle school group! I look forward to every time I am with our students and the opportunity to hear what God is doing in their life. It was great this past month to see ten of our middle school students baptized.
Thanks for taking a few minutes to read this letter and be informed about some great events coming up for your students and your family.
Friday night April 17th we're having a Recession Buster Family Night. This is a low key night from 7-9pm in the annex featuring dinner and a movie. The cost is $2 for an individual or $6 for an entire family regardless of size. We'll be having dinner as well as watching the Christian movie Time Changer. (There's a trailer of the movie on our website)
On May 8-9th our students have an opportunity to attend a Stuck in the Middle event. These are events designed specifically for middle school students featuring worship bands, great speakers, and special guest such as Steve Jacobs who works for the discovery channel producing Mythbuster experiments. This event is going to have a huge spiritual impact on our students. I encourage you to do everything possible to get your student to this event. The cost is $75 and you may sign up in person or on the website.
A great way to earn money for this event or other summer events is for your student to participate in the auction. Students who participate in the auction will earn $100 towards events like these. If you missed the parent meeting and need an auction kit please contact Mary Weeks at the church. (503-581-3680) She will be glad to get you the information you need. We are also looking for some parents who can help out the night before or the night of the auction. Let us know if you can help!
I'm starting a new series this week called Changed. We are working very hard to make each Sunday and Wednesday service a meaningful time for your students. Please do everything possible to make sure your student doesn't miss out on these times!
As always if you have any questions please contact me!
